About the artwork

Fred Dibnah at Work a original painting in acrylics, ready to frame in your own choice. Fred was a familiar site around the North West, but did travel the country doing steeplejacking, you can see him in the background up a chimney, and his Landrover in the forgriund. Fred was also a well known on television, with his different shows. He was honoured the MBE in 2004. A very keen Mechanical engineer, and had his own workshop in his garden in Bolton.

I have always drawn, from a early age. I worked as a draftsman for a number of years, then turned my skills to a machine tool technician. I am a mostly self-taught artist, getting my inspiration from our beautiful wildlife and buildings pass and present, in a old northern style.
